Subaru Impreza WRC2008 Unveiled

Division motorsport from Subaru introduced the first images of the new Impreza WRC2008.
Subaru World Rally Team has presented new bolid created for FIFA World Rally. Impreza WRC2008 will start in the Rally of Greece and will be officially presented with a day before the start of the Greek stage in Athens.
The new bolid of raliuri Subaru team brings many improvements compared to previous generations of the model. Impreza WRC2008 is built on the model street launched last year by Subaru, plus bringing in a specific design motorsportului.
Propulsia is provided supraalimentat boxer engine combined with transmission Symmetrical All Wheel Drive.
David Richards, manager of Subaru, said: “We are very pleased that we will launch new Impreza before the initial set. It is the result of team work and dedicarii of motorsport in the UK and Japan Division of TSI. I am convinced that the Impreza WRC2008 will be extremely quick Rally in Greece. ”
The new bolid Subaru will be piloted by Petter Solberg, world champion in 2003 and australianul Chris Atkinson.

Subaru Exiga Unveiled

This scan appeared at the Nasioc forums and from what we can tell, it looks like some of teaser for the forthcoming production version of the  Concept that made its debut last year at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show –see here. The Exiga is a 7-Seater crossover that was said to preview the next generation Legacy Outback expected sometime in 2009.

Subaru Legacy STI “S402” Limited Edition

Subaru will extend its “STI” offerings in its home market with the introduction of the limited edition Legacy STI S402 Sedan and Touring models that will be available for sale in Japan from June 27. The S402 Legacy STIs are equipped with the same 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer engine as the US and European Impreza STIs, but in this case, output is restricted to 282Hp at 5,600 rpm and torque to 392 Nm (available between 2,000 and 4,800 rpm). Power is delivered to the wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. Other mechanical upgrades include a sport suspension, revised steering system (13:1 ratgio) and more powerful six-pot front and two-pot rear Brembo brakes. Apart from the subtle STi bodykit that includes a carbon-fiber front spoiler, the S402 Legacys feature wider fenders (+20mm) that host a set of beautiful 18-inch BBS alloys wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires (235/40R18). Inside the most prominent features are the leather front bucket seats, the MOMO steering wheel and the “S402” plates.
