Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the XK nameplate that was introduced in 1948 with the iconic XK120 sports car, Jaguar has launched a special series of the current XK model for the UK market. Aptly named XK60, the special edition series is available with Jag’s naturally aspirated 298 PS 4.2-litre V8 engine, in both coupé and convertible forms. The XK60’s features include bespoke 20-inch Senta alloy wheels, a sporty alloy gear knob and selector-gate surround, a new front spoiler and rear valance panel, chrome-finished side vents and bright upper and lower front grille meshes, special tailpipe finishers and appliqués on both sides of the car. Prices are set at £60,995 for the XK60 Coupe and £66,995 for the Convertible.

Arden Jaguar XF AJ 21

Arden Jaguar XF AJ 21

The Jaguar XF has certainly become the flagship of the British manufacturer’s brand, so it was only a matter of time before the Jag-specialists at Arden got down and dirty to enhance the sporty sedan giving those power obsessed Jaguar enthusiasts a little something before the high-spec XF-R arrives this summer.

Highlights of the Jaguar XF AJ 21 are certainly found under the bonnet with power upgrades for each of the four engines, the top of the line Supercharged 416hp 4.2 liter V8 engine gets a displacement increase to 4.5 liters raising the power output to over 500hp.

The exterior has received the typical Arden treatment with extensive aerodynamic modifications. The AJ 21 gets a new front apron with a larger grille and larger air intakes contributing towards better cooling for the the engine and brakes, the lower front spoiler helps enhance the aerodynamic performance of the model, particularly at high speeds. The integrated LED-day lights help pimp the overall look of the vehicle.

Despite the fact that Arden’s official images of the new Jaguar XF AJ21Arden appear to be the product of photoshop (…), the German tuning firm’s sporty outfit for the XF looks mighty nice. has enhanced the Jag’s appearance with a new bodykit that includes a new front bumper with integrated LED-day lights, side sills with functional air inlets that cool the rear brakes, a rear lid spoiler and a rear diffuser that incorporates the new exhaust tailpipes. Additionally, the German firm has equipped the XF with an enlarged radiator grille in handmade stainless steel mesh along with a set of new 21-inch alloy wheels. Without giving any specific information or pictures, Arden says that the XF’s interior has also been revised.

Jaguar XF-C Coupe Concept

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

Though we’re absolutely certain that several people at Jaguar will get pretty annoyed with the revelation of these embargoed images, we couldn’t hold back once we got our hands on the first official pictures of the XF-C Coupe Concept that’s set to make its public debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 20. Information is scarce for the moment, but apart from the obvious fact that the 4-seater coupe is based on the new XF, we did learn that the XF-C is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that develops more than 500 Hp.

Geneva Show: Jaguar’s Limited Production XKR-S

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

Making its worldwide debut in Geneva, the Jaguar XKR-S is ultimately an upgraded special edition version of the standard XKR Coupe that will be produced in a mere 200 units, all of which will be available only in Europe. Whilst the XKR-S retains the XKR’s powertrain – 420Hp 4.2litre supercharged V8 matted to a 6-speed auto gearbox with manual paddle shifts, thanks to a recalibrated engine management and improved aerodynamics, the XKR-S reaches an electronically limited top speed of 174mph (280km/h) – 19mph (30km/h) faster than the XKR.

Furthermore, Jaguar’s engineers enhanced the XKR’s driving dynamics by revising the suspension with bespoke springs, dampers, anti-roll bar and recalibrated Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS). The XKR-S also features an Alcon R Performance braking system with red monobloc six-piston callipers and 400mm brake discs at the front, 350mm at the rear.

Appearance-wise, finished in an “Ultimate Black” metallic color the XKR-S is distinguished by the revised front air-splitter and side sill-extensions, revised rear spoiler and rear bumper with unique diffuser panel and unique 20″ lightweight Vortex alloy wheels.
